We meet regularly to review progress, troubleshoot what isn't working, and adjust your plan as your body responds. Weight management is not linear and your support shouldn't be either.

Is this different from a diet program?

Yes. A registered dietitian builds a plan around your metabolism, health history, and lifestyle -- not a generic calorie target. The goal is a sustainable way of eating, not a short-term program.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

No referral is required to book. If your doctor has recommended weight management support we can coordinate with their recommendations, but you can reach out directly.

Will my insurance cover weight management nutrition counseling?

Many plans cover medical nutrition therapy with a registered dietitian for qualifying conditions like obesity, diabetes, or cardiovascular disease. Call member services and ask whether medical nutrition therapy is a covered benefit.

How long does it take to see results?

It depends on your starting point and goals. Most patients notice meaningful changes in energy, eating patterns, and weight within the first 60 to 90 days. Sustainable weight loss is gradual by design.

Do I have to follow a strict meal plan?

No. We build flexible guidelines around your preferences and lifestyle. Rigid meal plans tend not to work long term. The goal is habits you can maintain, not rules you have to follow perfectly.

Can we meet virtually?

Yes. Telehealth and in-person appointments are both available. Most patients prefer virtual for the convenience.
